Dualchas have been featured in the highly respected industry-wide newspaper Building Design (BD). Written by architectural journalist James Benedict Brown the article examines two recent projects – Boreraig on Skye and Garve Church near Inverness. Reporting after a road trip with Mary Arnold Forster, Brown praised the ‘increasingly sophistacted portfolio’ of the practice contrasting with the ‘anti-ago’ approach to architecture.
One of the UK’s top architectural writers, Phyllis Richardson, has blogged on a Dualchas project. The off grid house replaces a portocabin on a tiny Hebridean island off Harris and is being led by Mary Arnold Forster. The blog details Mary’s inspiration behind the design.
The work of Dualchas Building design has been featured in a paper published by the world famous University of California Berkeley. In an essay in the periodical TDSR, Dr Daniel Maudlin places the distinctive house designs of the Skye practice within the context of thousands of years of architectural history in the Highlands.
