Achnacloich
Isle of Skye
This house sits behind a rocky escarpment on the edge of Loch a' Ghlinne on the south penisula of Skye. The building has a simple agricultural form and is overclad in a larch skin, but the structural walls are clay block and the roof exposed cross-laminated timber. The floor is a terrazzo made from locally quarried stone, its walls finished in clay plaster.
